Doctor

Hi All

well finally had to go to the doctor after 3 weeks with this dreaded cold, I could not take it any longer and getting sicker, so now have some antibiotics so hope that makes me improve out of sight and become dangerous again.  10 tablets for $50 so hope it works.

It would be good to hear from some people on my blog soon!

In Canada

Hi All
After a hectic two days in Fargo, North Dakota, we are back in Winnipeg.  We are with our friend Donna and will move on later in the week, or weekend to further East in Canada.  Hope this finds everyone well.

shopping today in North Dakota in Fargo great malls and Walmart and many shops like Macys and Sears, and I got lots of cheap tops as most things were half price.  Back to Winnipeg tomorrow and then decide where we are going from there.

HI All
I am now in Winnipeg, flew here today from Edmonton and the weather is not too good, hoping me, as the Sun Goddess, will be able to bring some sun on to this place tomorrow.  I was met by my long time friend, Anne and she has taken us to her home, we are here now.  It is Monday and a public holiday for Thanks Giving, that is here in Canada, we will be in the USA in November when they will celebrate their thanks giving.  We will be able to eat turkey again??  It was great to meet up with our friends in Alberta and sad to say goodbye to them today.  I hope to one day see them again.

Hinton Alberta Canada

Hi All
well this blog is ok, and we are in Hinton Alberta, Canada.  We have been on a trip around southern Alberta, fantastic and so much to see, dinosaurs, buffalos and the Rockies, my favourite place in Canada.

On Tour

Hi All
we will be on tour in southern Alberta starting tomorrow, after we meet up with Wendy, my friend who was in Tassie in 2009 - she did come to the school and visit.
We will be travelling and probably not be near a computer for a couple of days, so hope to hear from you when i get back.

Steam train!

Hi All
Today we went to Stettler and went on a steam train, this was Karen our friends secret, surprise for us.  We went to see the beautiful autumn leaves and colours and we were attacked by outlaws.  They came up on their horses and took our money from us. One was on the train and he scared me, asked me for all my money!!  Anyway they take this money we give them and donate it to the childrens hospital in Calgary.  WE were happy to donate.  It has been a long day so now it is time for bed.

In Edmonton

Hi All
WE are here in Edmonton with our friend and tomorrow going on a steam train for the day, we have to be up early as it is an hour and half away from where we are in Edmonton, so a long day.

HI today we have been to Jasper, in the foothills of the Rockies, very nice scenery and lovely to see.

In Hinton with our friends!

HI All
we have arrived in Hinton, Alberta, Canada and are now with our friends, we have not seen for over 25 years and Eugene has not seen for 32 years, but all are well and we are enjoying seeing them all again.
My card from camera would not fit into the computer here so still no photos but I do have 881 photos on my camera.  I will download some soon.

we have arrived in Edmonton and tomorrow we get to see Wendy Mackney one of our friends is coming up to get  us and take us back to Hinton and we will be with the rest of our friend then, so it is getting very exciting, I probably wont sleep tonight - cant wait to see them all.

Vancouver

Hi All 

we have made it to Vancouver - lovely city from what we have seen so far, and that is not much.  Very clean, and of course they take our US $ as they are worth more and give us parity??  They are very clever people ahahahha

Canada here we come!

We are in Seattle today but tomorrow we head to Canada and to stay in Vancouver - for a couple of nights at least.  After this we will be heading East to Alberta and see our friends if they have not left the country first??? ahahahah

Tis very hot here, and i do not have a card reader so can not add photos yet, maybe in a couple of weeks when i am with my friends in Alberta i will be able to send some through, i only have 700 so far?????

SEATTLE

Hi all
in Seattle now and it is in heat wave too 82F here about 30C and everywhere we go it is hot hot hot - been up the space needle today and down to Pike St their market, resting now and then out for tea.
SSSSSOOOOOOO much walking in the heat, trying to stay out of the sun, my sunburnt arms are still peeling from 3 weeks ago and Eugene can not afford to get in the sun!!  MELANOMA!!
It is a very clean and pretty city here, very nice.
Sunday we hope to cross over to Canada, lets hope the customs and border patrol are better to me than San Francisco, where they made me stand hands up on the xray machine and then did a frisk - as i had diamenties on my top and then they took swabs of both my hands - looking for gun or bomb residue, glad to say - I PASSED ALL THAT!! and Eugene just walked through, can you believe that!!
Anyway we are enjoying our trip and no rain just heat waves

China Town

Hi All
Today very hot, took a taxi and rode down Lomard Street the windest street in the world and then onto China town and walked back to 5th Street, our hotel is on 7th Street, just had to catch a taxi the rest of the way as i was buggered, had been walking for about 4 hours by then.  One would think one would be losing weight, but we do stop to eat and drink, shock horror and the weight stays on even though we are walking walking walking!!
AS i cant get a plane out will go to the airport and see if we can get a plane to Seattle, as it wont take my mastercard!! LIFE WAS NOT MEANT TO BE EASY.
Now going to my room at 2pm and resting, soooo tired.
Will see if the Open USA tennis is on and lay on my bed and watch it ahahahahahah

San Francisco

Hi all
went shopping today in SF and had fun, went to the Golden Gate Bridge and walked on it.  It was a lovely day and so many lovely photos.
Staying here until at least thursday - tough as it is nearly 9/11 and dont feel like flying on that date here in the USA.

we have booked till Saturday, to stay here in Las Vegas, it is a long weekend here this weekend, so it will be busy here.  Very hot 109F still and unusually humid for here in the dessert.

HI All
tis very hot here heat wave 108 F and i am sun burnt
in Las Vegas been to see Love the Beatles thing by Circus de Soleil and tomorrow to see Elvis by the same crew.  at present i am up 108 floors at the Stratosphere, great view of Las Vegas, after here heading North to San Francisco, so that should be great too and on to canada.

In Los Angeles

Hi Everyone
we are in Los Angeles, went to Santa Monica and walked for 5 hours in the scorching sun at 100F and now both of us are sunburnt with Eugene having sunstroke so that is not good. Staying around the hotel and trying to recover today.  Tomorrow we head off to Las Vegas and stay 4 nights at the Imperial Palace, worth a look on the internet to see where we will be staying.  It has an automobile museum so Eugene will be pleased when he recovers from his sunburn.
it has been fantastic weather here, and i am checking my emails regularly so please write on that, easier for me to check and get back to people on that rather than this blog.

Cold here!

Hi All

It is very cold here, I am now sick, and have a sore throat, but soldiering on, as I have only this week and next week to go and then I am on long service leave.  I have a doctor's appoinment this afternoon for insurance, so maybe I can get something for my sore thoat and cough.  We live in hope.

Some students have returned not 100% but dont want to miss out on school, and they are lovely!  Happy to have them not happy that they are sick.

Trying to work out how to use this blog page, very frustrating when you dont know how, but the more I play with it the better it will be I  HOPE!!  Good to see some people already using this form of communication.  I am very techno minded NOT!! so we have to be patient and hope I can get it to work.
